SpartanFit ‘Club 100’ recently welcomed three new members, and one of them, also the person with the most pain-displayed photos in the history of our group, is none other than my assistant coach, trusted companion, first beard of Matkino, and a handyman in the making, Igor Kostrenčić ‘Pajo’.
Our story began back in January 2019 and, shortly after, we elevated our collaboration, starting with informal education and later progressing to a role of our assistant coach. Additionally, Pajo is the most crucial part of any concrete work action through which we gradually upgrade our facilities, bringing Matkino closer to my vision and its former glory.
Given his active involvement in running as a discipline and few summer breaks, this achievement of reaching a 100 workouts is just a formal milestone of workouts done together. Throughout the last three years, Igor has also completed a substantial number of solo workouts, both at home and in our gym. Currently, we are in the last two weeks of one of my two most demanding calisthenics programs. A fighter that he is, during our training session yesterday, he already asked about our plans after completing it.
Pride and gratitude have become familiar sentiments with each of my dedications. Whenever one of my trainees achieve such milestone I primarily feel joy, because I know they keep on pushing their limits along the way. Additionally, I always look forward contemplating about what lies ahead for each and every one of them. With that in mind, dear Pajo, see you Monday, hope you’re ready.
